China

I was invited on an educational trip to China, which proved to be an enriching experience in terms of both technical learning and cultural exposure. I explored several unique locations, witnessed cutting-edge technologies firsthand, and enjoyed beautiful cultural events during the visit. I also had the chance to sample a diverse range of cuisines — from Japanese and Turkish to authentic Chinese.

Shenzhen

I visited the Huawei Headquarters, Shenzhen International Low Carbon City, and some professional tech-based events in Shenzhen.

I had a great time exploring Shenzhen, from its stunning night cityscape and vibrant shopping districts to a variety of local and international cuisines, including Japanese, Turkish, and authentic Chinese.

Huawei Dongguan Campus

The Huawei Dongguan (Ox Horn) Campus is a tech research and development hub. It is built mirroring European architecture, drawing inspiration from Paris, Copenhagen, Prague, Oxford, etc.

It was such a beautiful place, one of the highlights of my trip. I watched the sky shifted into a deep evening blue after the sunset. The view of the blue hue of the evening sky contrasting against the warm yellow lights along the Paris-themed streets was amazing. Now I know why Paris was called romantic!

The Splendid Chinese Folk Village

This themed park offers a breathtaking journey through 5,000 years of Chinese history portrayed in miniature. Featuring carefully crafted collections of different dynasties, cultures, palaces, and temples, the park felt like watching history unveil itself before my eyes.

Beyond the architecture, I visited some ancient-style temples, museum and enjoyed a stunning live cultural performance – one of the major highlights of my entire trip!!

Hong Kong – Zhuhai – Macao Bridge

Spent 4 to 5 hours on a yacht that sailed past the massive Hong Kong–Zhuhai–Macao Bridge. The highlight, though, was definitely the golden sunset reflecting over the rippling waves. It’s one of those views you see in travel magazines; seeing it with my own eyes was even so calming.

More golden sunsets please!
